Our agency specializes in newborn adoptions and provides the expectant mother the following services as part of our adoption program
Financial Support
There is no cost to you if you decide to place your baby for adoption. A Baby Step Adoption offers the maximum amount of financial support to our birthmothers according to your state laws. This typically includes, medical and living expenses, rent, maternity clothing, counseling and more.
Transportation
A Baby Step Adoption will make sure you do not pay for transportation expenses related to your pregnancy. Visits to doctor’s appointments, meetings with the adoptive families or our case workers would all be considered relevant transportation that you would never have to pay for if you decide to give your baby up for adoption.
Medical Care
If you place your baby for adoption, you will receive medical care during your pregnancy at no cost to you. This includes doctor’s visits, ultrasounds and hospital stays. You will not be responsible for any medical cost related to your pregnancy.
Housing
You will receive financial assistance for your housing during your pregnancy in many states.
You select the adoptive family for your child
You are the only person who will decide who your child will be placed with. You will be able to select the right family for you and your child based on information provided by them.
Open or confidential adoptions
A Baby Step Adoption will support you whether you choose an open or closed adoption. An open adoption allows contact between you and the adoptive family during the pregnancy and after the baby is born. You decide the amount of contact you would like to have. In a closed adoption, your records would be kept private throughout the adoption process. There is usually little to no contact between the birthparents and the adoptive family in this case.
Counseling and Emotional Support
If you choose to place your baby for adoption, you will receive total support throughout the entire adoption process. From the moment you decide to choose adoption, we will be there for you every step of the way. After the pregnancy, we will help you rebuild your life.
